SMART Authentication

The difference between fact and opinion!

SMART generates lots of information about hashes. There are total span hashes, hashes of each partition, hashes of each image segment written, and hashes are subdivided by read errors as well a hash of the total zero-padded span. SMART’s error handling during acquisition and authentication is more robust and provides for better granularity than any other tool.

Views are rollover graph laid out like the partition structure, and textual range hashes.

SMART provides the ability to perform real, meaningful authentication: comparing the hashes of your image with the hashes of the physical device.
